Office of Information Security Resources

The Office of Information Security offers multiple resources, such as news articles and information databases, for staying up to date on the current cybersecurity practices. See below for more!

Knowledge Base

OIS endorses the use of the Oregon State Knowledge Base for all "How To" style documents. Knowledge Base is an all-encompassing document database hosted by the IT Service Desk and has many helpful articles and guides about topics ranging from business services to network and wireless help.

In The News

OIS curates a collection of news articles that we feel highlight many of the important issues and trends in the cybersecurity community. These articles contain tips and tricks to help keep yourself, and the Oregon State online community safe.

OIS Archive

The Office of Information Security archive is the one-stop-shop where you can find old news articles related to the information security world. This is also where you can find all past community messaging from the Chief Information Security Officer, David McMorries.

Oregon State has partnered with LinkedIn Learning to offer a new and personalized way for the OSU community to learn! LinkedIn Learning offers 16,000+ courses organized into brief chapters taught by accomplished instructors and recognized industry experts. New videos are added weekly at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. OIS has worked with the University's Human Resources department to create two of our own LinkedIn Learning collections. These collections contain resources we found useful to both the university community as well as the IT pro community.
